Become a FRIEND of the Rescue Helicopter

For a minimum donation of $35, and only a further $5, you can take up the benefits of becoming a Friend of your local Rescue Helicopter.

What are the benefits?

If you suffer an accident or illness requiring hospitalisation within New Zealand you will, if appropriate, be transported by air to a hospital within the St John Ambulance Midland and Central Region nearest to your home to enable you to continue your recovery near family and friends.

Who does my $5 membership cover?

This service is available not only to you, but also to any immediate family member/s whose principal place of residence is within the Friends household.

What else will I receive for my membership?

Your yearly subscription will be acknowledged and you will receive a membership card, bumper sticker, and two newsletters each year, keeping you updated on the work of your rescue helicopter service.

How will my donation be acknowledged?

All donations to your local Rescue Helicopter will be receipted and mailed to you within a week or two. Donations qualify for a personal tax rebate.
