Greenlea Premier Meats started more than 80 years ago with a small butcher shop in Gisborne. Still a family-owned business, it has grown to become global business known today for producing and exporting premier New Zealand beef to over 40 countries around the world.

The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter's first mission
On 27 September, 2012 the newly-branded Greenlea Rescue Helicopter flew its first mission with Greenlea Premier Meats as the principal sponsor.
The Launch of HCX
In March 2019, the old HZJ was replaced with a customised BK117, adapted to suit Taupo's various terrains and climate. This green and black helicopter with the distinctive orange tail is now familiar to residents across the Central Plateau, having completed hundreds of missions since.
Flight for Life
Greenlea sees their sponsorship as a way of giving back to the farmers that support them each and every day. Dedicated sponsor Greenlea Premier Meats Ltd created their Flight for Life programme.
