Westpac have been proud supporters of the Westpac Waikato
Air Ambulance and crew since 1987. The helicopter
is an essential service, embraced and supported by the
community, which saves many lives each year by reaching
people quickly, often in remote areas of the region.

The Gallagher Group
The Gallagher Group has sponsored the Westpac Waikato
Rescue helicopter for 17 years. The air ambulance service
provides a dedicated 24 hour, seven day week service
that makes a life or death difference for many New Zealanders
particularly in the rural areas of New Zealand where
Gallagher products are used extensively. These time-critical
transports of patients to hospital are a great asset
to the community that we serve.

Waikato Toyota
Waikato Toyota have had an association with the air
ambulance since 1987. Supplied to the air ambulance
is a new Toyota Corolla. This is made available to the
pilots and staff to respond to callouts and attend to
all the day to day transport requirements of the service.

Jennian Homes
Jennian Homes based in the Waikato is franchised to
Glen Archer and David Moore. During the 17 years of
air ambulance operation in Hamilton, Jennian Homes have
been involved with the building of the Jennian Hangar
and administration block at Waikato Hospital. They have
also built homes that have been auctioned to raise valuable
funds to assist the service.

WEL Energy Trust
The WEL Energy Trust provides a significant amount
of funding to community organisations every year. The
Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance has been able to complete
various projects such as medical equipment purchases,
helipad extensions and navigation equipment upgrades
for the helicopter with funding received from the WEL
Energy Trust.

Trust Waikato
Trust Waikato is the largest philanthropic trust in
the Waikato . Each year it donates between $6-7 million
to community groups and organisations like the Westpac
Waikato Air Ambulance. The air ambulance service is
a community service that requires support to enable
the retention and growth of the service. Trust Waikato
have provided significant funding for items of need
such as hangar and helipad development, and more recently
the upgrade of the navigation equipment in the helicopter.

Commercial Print
Waikato Times, Waikato's best read newspaper and its
commercial print division, Times Commercial Print, have
assisted the air ambulance on an annual basis with media
exposure and printing services since the services inception
17 years ago. This has enabled an essential community
service to grow and serve the population that mirrors
the distribution region of the Waikato Times.

Lions Clubs of the Waikato have made available funding

Doug Mc Farlane Ltd
Doug Mc Farlane Ltd, are one of the oldest tractor
dealers in New Zealand and have assisted the Westpac
Waikato Air Ambulance for 15 years- by way of providing
tractors and equipment for the moving of helicopters
and fixed wing aircraft around the hangars and airfields.
Doug McFarlane Ltd are agents for Kubota, Antonio Carraro
and Valtra tractors and also have a large service facility
in Hamilton carrying out repairs and maintenance of
all brands of tractors and machinery.

Rotary Clubs of the Waikato have made available funding
for the air ambulance on an annual basis since the service
inception. This has aided in the growth and success
of the service that reaches throughout the greater Waikato

Environment Waikato has provided the Westpac Air Ambulance
with financial assistance over many years to reflect
the work carried out across the region served by Environment
Waikato.

Waikato District Health Board
Health Waikato works closely with the air ambulance
by way of providing flight crews from the Intensive
Care and New Born Intensive care units. These teams
provided a vital link in the transportation of patients
between the hospitals that we serve. The crews are well
versed in their role as aero medical escort doctors
and nurses. The role has steadily increased over the
years. We now carry out some 350 transports per year.

Waikato Federated Farmers Charitable Trust
The Waikato Federated Farmers Charitable Trust is proud to be
a sponsor of the Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance. The Charitable Trust was
formed in 1999 to own and administer the properties in London Street. The goals
of the trust are to support rural objectives to the benefit of all the
farming community in the greater Waikato area. Now that the building has had
a makeover, the Waikato Federated Farmers Charitable Trustees thought
the time was right to give some money back to the rural community, hence a substantial
donation to the Air Ambulance. |

SkyCity
The SkyCity Hamilton Community Trust was established in
2003, as part of the SkyCity Hamilton licence applications process, to provide
funds for community and charitable purposes. To date, the Trust
has distributed more than $850,000 in grants to the greater Waikato community.
This includes a grant to the Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance for additional safety
equipment for the helicopter.

Waikato District Council
Waikato District Council values the health and safety of the Waikato community, that’s why they donate annually to the
Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance. The Council provides for the maintenance and
improvement of 1,651 kilometres of roads! Particular emphasis is placed
on safety and improving the surface quality of the roads including the
sealing of existing metal roads. Other community initiatives Council supports
include the Life Education Trust, Northern Surf Lifesaving, and Whaingaroa
Harbour Care, with community grants totalling approximately $500,000 every
year.
