As one of New Zealand 's leading energy
companies, Genesis is a great believer in giving back
to the communities in which it operates. The company's
approach is to take a lead role in areas where it is
needed, and provide support and backing in others. In
this way, Genesis contributes to as wide variety of
initiatives, in many different communities, while encouraging
others to also add their support.
The Philips Search and Rescue Trust is an example of
this approach. Genesis sponsors the Palmerston North
rescue helicopter, and has done since the company was
formed in 1999.
As Genesis chairman Brian Corban said when Genesis Energy
became an official sponsor: "Genesis aims to look
after the well-being of the people of the region, and
also operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365
days a year, just as the rescue helicopter does."

one of those services that, if we did not have it, we
