TrustPower sponsors the Tauranga Rescue Helicopter
in partnership with the Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust.
Both organisations recognise the excellent work carried
out by the service, and the benefit the rescue helicopter
provides to an area where TrustPower and the Trust are
based, and where TrustPower has nearly 100,000 customers
including some of New Zealand 's largest industrial
sites.
The joint branding of our sponsorship demonstrates
how TECT and TrustPower play a significant role in our
Community. TECT's sponsorship is an excellent way of
providing tangible and significant support for its Beneficiaries
and indeed the broader community, using profits it receives
from its shareholding in TrustPower. The benefits of
having a locally-based rescue helicopter are significant,
this is a service that literally saves lives.

and enhance Bay of Plenty communities. We believe that
the Philips Search and Rescue Trust, through its Taupo-
Rotorua- and Tauranga-based helicopters and pilots,
provides an essential top quality rescue service, available
to all the people and communities of the Bay, that literally
saves lives and helps achieve that objective. We are
