On Sunday afternoon at 2pm the TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Matahi where a 39-year-old male had fallen from his motocross bike and suffered a serious back injury.
He was treated at the scene by the onboard Intensive Care Paramedic before being flown to Waikato Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
Just before landing back at Tauranga Hospital, at 5:45 pm, the TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Tapapa where a 47-year-old male was suffering from a serious medical condition that required immediate hospital care.
He was treated at the scene by the onboard Intensive Care Paramedic and ambulance staff before being flown to Waikato Hospital.
