On Sunday 31st May at 10am the Westpac Air Ambulance departed from Hamilton Airport. The team onboard was Warren McKay – Captain, Alyce Wilson – Frist Officer, and Mutian Tait – Flight Nurse. The crew flew from Hamilton to Whakatane Hospital up to Auckland’s Starship Hospital and then back to Hamilton.
The team transported a mother and her 3-month-old baby girl to Auckland for overnight oximetry and investigation at Starship Hospital. The oximetry was to investigate the cause of pulmonary hypertension with right ventricular overload and dysfunction.
We here at the Westpac Air Ambulance have a policy of keeping the media informed of our work.
