The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched Naike, northwest of Huntly on Saturday 8 April, to retrieve a 29-year-old female who was involved in a road-bike crash. She was flown to Auckland Hospital with a fractured arm and suspected head injury.
Immediately upon return to Waikato Hospital, the rescue helicopter dispatched to Tairua, to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on a bridge along State Highway 25.
Two passengers were transported to Waikato Hospital; a 43-year-old man with multiple injuries, and a 53-year-old man with injuries to his arm and leg.
On Sunday 9 April, the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Waiheke Island to retrieve a 63-year-old man experiencing a severe allergic reaction to a wasp sting.
Accompanied by his wife, he was flown to Auckland Hospital for treatment.
