The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was dispatched around 11am on Saturday 13 June to a farm near Broadlands Forest for a male who had crashed a farm bike, due to the location it was 4×4 access only making it difficult for access by road ambulance.
The patient had multiple serious injuries, he was treated on scene and flown to Rotorua ED.
As the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter arrived back to Taupo base they were sent to retrieve a mountain biker injured on the Timber Trail in the Pureora Forest Park. The paramedic was winched in to the patient who had injured her arm in a crash. She was winched up to the helicopter and flown to Waikato ED.
