Car accident on Kawhia Road

The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to a car crash on Kawhia Road on Saturday 15 October. The car crashed off the road, through a fence and rolled multiple times down a very steep bank coming to rest on its wheels approximately 100m below the road in a farm paddock.

The 55-year-old male driver suffered suspected injuries to his leg and hip. He was flown to Waikato Hospital for treatment.
