The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter and the Baytrust Rescue Helicopter were both dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on the intersection of State Highway 5 and 28 near Te Papa, just after 5:00pm on Labour Day.

A man, who was suffering from a suspected broken pelvis, was attended to by Intensive Care Paramedics, prior to been flown to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.

The Rotoroa Helicopter transported another male occupant from another vehicle to Waikato Hospital in a stable condition.
