On Saturday 21 November, the on-duty crew of the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called out to Onemana in the Coromandel.
The crew responded to a 44-year-old gentleman who was suffering from a cardiac event.
The rescue helicopter was airborne within 6 minutes and landed at Onemana 36 minutes after the call.
The patient was transported to Waikato Hospital and was cared for and treated by the onboard Intensive Care Paramedic.
