SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you make a donation or sign up for our newsletter, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you information and other updates.

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, or sign up for our newsletter, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

Payment Express is committed to data security. Payment Express uses a variety of technologies and procedures to help protect personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, Payment Express stores the data in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities secured by the latest in surveillance and security technology. When Payment Express transmits sensitive information (such as a credit card numbers), Payment Express protects it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Credit card details stored onsite are encrypted using 168bit 3DES encryption. Payment Express is a level 1 certified PCI-DSS compliant provider:

PCI DSS

PCI DSS, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is a set of security requirements relating to the protection of card holder data. The standard is governed by the PCI Security Standards Council, an organisation put together by most of the major card schemes VISA, MasterCard, American Express, JCB and Discover. It's relevant for any entity that stores or transmits sensitive card holder data, that being generally things like the PAN (card number), Card security code, track data, PIN block. Preceding PCI-DSS the card schemes had their own standards, the VISA Account Information Security (AIS) standard formed the basis to most of the PCI-DSS requirements. SECTION 5 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

SECTION 6 - COOKIES

Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the website. This site does utilize third party scripts which may store cookies in your browser. Although we do make every effort to ensure we are providing a safe and secure browsing experience, we do not accept responsibility for the information gathered or stored on your computer by these third party scripts.

As a member of our Friends of the Rescue Helicopter programme, you may receive personal transport to a hospital closest to your place of residence, if you have been unexpectedly hospitalised outside of your Friends area and require an extended period of recovery in a DHB designated hospital.

Friends of The Rescue Helicopter transfers are available to Friends members and to any of the member’s dependencies whose principal place of residence is within the Friend's household.

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility, guidelines and benefits of a Friend of the Rescue Helicopter that determine access to the Service include:

a. The Friend requesting transport must:

(i) be a current Friend and have been for a period of at least three (3) months prior to the request; and
(ii) have suffered an accident or illness resulting in hospitalisation within New Zealand and requiring ongoing medical treatment or care within a DHB designated hospital.

b. Transportation will be to the nearest hospital by whatever means is most appropriate, which may include the use of a helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft.

c. Transportation may be provided by an Operator other than the Friend's local rescue Helicopter.

d. The Friend to be transported must be a current Friend or a dependant of the current Friend whose principal place of residence is within the Friend's household.

e. Transport by aircraft is subject to prevailing weather conditions and aircraft availability. Every endeavour will be made to affect the transport when requested but delays may be occasioned due to factors outside the control of the rescue helicopter service. The Philips Search & Rescue Trust has sole and absolute discretion as to when and what transport will be used.

f. The Philips Search & Rescue Trust may, in its sole and absolute discretion, decline to transport a Friend due to the nature of the Friend's illness or condition.
