The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was tasked, on the afternoon of 1 October, to fly a critically sick male from Tauranga Hospital to Waikato Hospital.
Whilst the helicopter was at Waikato Hospital it was tasked to Te Kaha Medical Centre to retrieve a 26 year old male who had a medical condition that required immediate hospital care. He was flown to Rotorua Hospital.
The following morning the rescue helicopter team were tasked to fly to Oripi mountain bike track where a 13 year old male had fallen from his mountain bike and suffered a serious hip injury.
He was stabilised at the scene by paramedics and flown to Tauranga Hospital for treatment.
The helicopter was once again dispatched to pick up 25 year old male from Whakatane Hospital who had a head injury and was flown to Waikato Hospital for treatment.
