Good in the Hood: Vote for us during May

As a Kiwi company, Z Energy likes to give back to local neighbourhoods, to support the things that matter locally and to make a positive contribution right across New Zealand.

So every year, all Z stations give away $5,000 to neighbourhood groups that help people who need it. That’s more than $1 million across the country to do Good in the Hood!

This year we are thrilled to announce that 12 Z Energy stations have selected your local rescue helicopters as one of the neighbourhood groups they’d like to support.

All you have to do is grab an orange token when you call in to fill up with petrol or grab something to eat. and then cast your vote for us.

The more votes we get, the share of the prize pool goes to keeping your local rescue helicopter in the air.

It’s an easy way to show your support for the rescue helicopter.

Vote for your local rescue helicopter at the following Z Energy stations:

We Need You

Your support ensures rescue helicopters are available to your community.
Your rescue helicopter can be airborne in 10 minutes and, in a life or death situation this speed and agility can make all the difference. The timely assistance that rescue helicopters provide can reduce disability and improve survival – the sooner treatment begins, the greater chance of patient recovery.

The cost of this is huge. Your rescue helicopter has contracts with ACC, DHB’s and NZ police, providing approximately 50% of the operating costs. This means the remaining 50% of funding must come from the community.

Without your support, your rescue helicopter would not be able to remain operational on a 24/7, 365 day a year basis. This could mean a serious delay in people being rescued, or transported to hospital for urgent treatment.

Support your rescue helicopter and make a life saving difference.
