Motor vehicle accident, Rangiwaea Junction

The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Rangiwaea Junction to a motor vehicle accident.

A 50-year-old male had been involved in a motor vehicle accident and had collapsed after being extracted by the Fire and Emergency crew. The man was treated by onboard ICP and was found to have neck injuries and was severally unwell.

Along with the St John medic, the man was loaded into the rescue helicopter and transported to Whanganui Hospital.
