Personal locator beacon mission near Porangahau

This morning the Palmerston North Rescue Helciopter was tasked by the Rescue Coordination Centre to a beacon search near Porangahau.

The team quickly located the two men who had rolled there ATV. Initially one man was trapped, however, they had self extracted shortly before the chopper arrived.

They were assessed by onboard intensive care paramedic and were found to be fine. The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter returned to base shortly after.
