The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched at approximately 7am on Wednesday 23 August to assist Tauranga Police in the search for a missing fisherman.
The man, a Tauranga local, had gone out in his boat to go fishing, and had been missing since the previous day.
The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter had been searching alongside the Tauranga Coastguard and Police.
