The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Morrinsville around 9.00am to the scene of a single vehicle crash on Chepmell Road.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed through a fence. The patient was stabilised at the scene before being flown to Waikato Hospital with neck and back pain.
The helicopter was dispatched due to the remote location and the fact the patient was trapped, further delaying access to higher level medical care.
