On Wednesday evening the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Taumarunui Hospital.
The crew was tasked with retrieving a man with a neck injury after he reportedly had a confrontation with a mob of wild goats. The man received a horn injury to his neck which was endangering his airway and required immediate medical attention.
He was carefully monitored by the onboard Intensive Care Paramedic whilst being airlifted to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
