The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to a rural property south of Te Puke yesterday, where a 28-year-old farmer lost control of his quad bike.
It it reported he was moving stock when the quad bike rolled backwards down a bank resulting in head and back injuries.
The farmer was airlifted to Tauranga hospital in a serious condition.
