On Sunday evening the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter was called to a three-car collision just north of Hunterville.
With the use of night vision googles the crew were able to fly to the scene. At the scene – Manwatu, Taranaki, Whanganui-Ruapehu Police, Fire and Emergency New Zealand and the St John Amublance.
Intensive Care Paramedic treated a status 2 patient with chest trauma before flying the 28-year old male to Palmerston North Hospital for further treatment.
