Time Critical Flights Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter

On Saturday 5 June, The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to Tauranga Hospital at 6pm to uplift an expectant mother and transport her to Waikato Hospital due to a higher level of medical care being required for the birth. This flight was conducted using IFR flight rules due to the weather conditions.

On Sunday morning 6 June, the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded to Kawhia to assist an elderly male patient who was transported to Waikato Hospital.
