On Saturday the Westpac Air Ambulance completed two flights.
On duty crew for the day was Captain – Carlee McCaw, First Officer – Alyce Wilson and Flight Nurse – Permal Samy.
The flight was a retrieval from Whanganui to Waikato Hospital. The team transported a patient to Waikato Hospital for surgery for complex tibia/fibula fractures.
The second flight for the day was to Gisborne for a transfer and retrieval.
We transported a discharged patient and support person back home to Gisborne on the first leg.
The second leg we transported a 28-year-old man to Waikato Hospital for surgery for mandibular fractures along with a support person.
We here at the Westpac Air Ambulance have a policy of keeping the media informed of our work.
