On Wednesday the Westpac Air Ambulance had a shared flight for two patients and the mother of one of the patients between Auckland and Whakatane.
The full trip was from Hamiton Airport to Auckland, Whakatane, and back to base in Hamilton.
The first patient was a 1-year-old baby girl traveling with her mum and the second patient was a 65-year-old woman.
Both patients are Whakatane locals who were repatriated back to Whakatane after receiving medical assistance in Auckland.
