Wairakei Lawnmower Roll caused serious injuries

At about midnight on January 13 the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter crew was tasked to Minginui for a patient suffering from a medical event. The patient was transported to Rotorua hospital for further treatment.

At about 3.50am on January 14, the helicopter was dispatched to transport a patient who was suffering from a medical event from Taupo Hospital. The patient was transported to Rotorua Hospital for further treatment.

Later that morning, the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was tasked to transfer a patient from Rotorua Hospital. The onboard crew transported the patient to Waikato Hospital for further medical treatment.

That afternoon, at about 4.30pm the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter crew was tasked to Wairakei for a male patient who had sustained serious injuries when he rolled his ride-on lawnmower down a gully. The man was provided treatment at the scene and flown to Waikato Hospital for further treatment.
