Woman injured on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing

On Wednesday the 23rd of January the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the Emerald Lakes on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

A 45-year-old woman slipped and injured her ankle while completing the Tongariro Crossing.

She was flown to the Rotorua Hosptial for treatment.
