25 years ago, a power company was sold and TECT was formed. This community-focused trust is one of the biggest in the country and provides support, funding and benefits for local initiatives around the Western Bay of Plenty, to help the local community thrive, now and for generations to come.
TECT has been supporting the TECT Rescue helicopter since 2003, and has so far supplied the service with over $2.6 million in funding. TECT has been the sole naming sponsor since 2019, where it committed to a further 3 years support & sponsorship of the TECT Rescue Helicopter.
"When I see the helicopter carrying the TECT brand, I feel proud on behalf of the community because that belongs to everybody."
- Natalie Bridges, Deputy Chairperson of TECT
