Since its inception in 2009, Music Under the Oaks, an annual charity event held in Morrinsville to raise money for your local emergency services, has become a cherished fundraising tradition in the Waikato.
This year's picnic-style event held in February, saw friends and families enjoy live music from talented local bands throughout the afternoon of fun in the sun. A stunning occasion that not only entertained but also served a vital purpose: supporting your Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s life-saving efforts.
One of the highlights of the event was the hugely anticipated live and silent auctions, which have proven to be instrumental in raising significant funds to help support the life-saving work your rescue helicopter undertakes in your community.
The incredible items up for auction this year ranged from unique dining and weekend experiences to home décor, tools, and even an e-bike up for grabs! There was something for everyone.
A big thanks to all those who played a part in the huge success of this year’s event, from the organisers to the sponsors, the many businesses that donated amazing auction items, and of course the generous attendees!
Your commitment and generous contributions raised an amazing $15,000 this year for your Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter! We are immensely grateful for your continuous support.
Over the years, funds raised through the Music Under the Oaks Charity Day event have been instrumental in the success of the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter service. When every minute matters in life-saving situations, these funds play a pivotal role in ensuring that your rescue helicopter is equipped with state-of-the-art emergency medical equipment and a highly skilled crew.
We are so grateful, and your amazing support helps save lives in your community!
